How We Started
The vision for this website began with Gord’s Auto, a trusted auto repair shop in Vancouver specializing in reliable, high-quality services. The team at Gord’s Auto wanted an online platform that showcased their expertise, communicated their commitment to customer satisfaction, and made it easy for clients to book services. As the designer and developer, my role was to build a website that reflected their professionalism and dedication to the local community.
Project Process
Phase 1: Discovery & Planning
I worked closely with the team at Gord’s Auto to understand their goals and identify the needs of their customers. This involved exploring their range of services, such as car repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance, and emphasizing their reputation for trust and reliability. Together, we outlined a site structure that highlighted key services, made booking appointments easy, and provided clear contact information.
Phase 2: Design
Using tools like Figma, I designed a clean, professional website that matched Gord’s Auto's trusted reputation. The design featured bold, easy-to-read typography, high-quality images of their shop and services, and a user-friendly layout. Special attention was given to creating sections that highlighted customer reviews, service specialties, and a seamless way to book appointments online.
Phase 3: Development
The website was developed to be fully responsive, ensuring it worked smoothly on all devices. Key features included an integrated booking form, detailed service pages, and a location map with driving directions. I also implemented SEO strategies to ensure Gord’s Auto appeared prominently in local search results for keywords like "Vancouver auto shop" and "East Vancouver mechanic."
